Janine Walker Caffrey is on a quest to help parents learn just how simple and fun parenting can be, and to become educated consumers of education.  She is the author of Drive: 9 Ways to Motivate Your Kids to Achieve and the creator of multimedia for parents.  In addition to being the mom of two grown (and amazing) kids, she holds a bachelor's degree in education, a master's in educational administration, and a doctorate in educational leadership. Her professional experience includes: ten years as a special education teacher in public schools; ten years as the education director for AMIKids, a leader in programming for troubled youth; and six years as the head of school for Renaissance Academy, a private school for the arts that she founded. She has also worked as a consultant for groups seeking to create new schools and taught curriculum and instruction at the University of South Florida. From 2009-2011, Janine enjoyed her work with the New York City Department of Education, where she developed new programs to help parents get involved in their children's education, and increase high school graduation rates. She is now the superintendent of schools in Perth Amboy, NJ.

Janine has been speaking for audiences, large and small, throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Sweden for nearly twenty years.  She has appeared on radio and television, including Oprah and Friends Radio, Martha Stewart Radio, The Today Show, and Daytime, spreading her parenting and education messages.
